We are amazed to be back in school and in our third and final trimester of language school. We have been blessed to meet people from Ireland and England to Texas and Pennsylvania. Our classmates have become not only friends to us, but like family. We realize that good-byes are always part of life, but it doesn't make the thought of them any easier. We know we will see one another again someday, if not here on earth, in heaven. Chris and I are beyond blessed to have our first trimester teacher again for grammar. Chris is doing a program called FARO for his language class. He will have 1 hour of class three times a week instead of the 2 hours daily of language. The other part of his class will be talking to Spanish speakers in the community. The program is aimed at improving his conversational skills. He is excited about getting more practice speaking Spanish.
The girls are doing well also. Hannah has a countdown of 25 days until school is over. They will have a VBS and then summer camp while we continue our studies. Katie loves climbing trees and riding her "refurbished" birthday bike. And last but not least, Danica continues to amaze us with her funny personality and random Spanish vocabulary.
Here are a few pics to show you what we have been up to :)
Katie the gymnast doing her favorite thing ever, cartwheels!
Hannah celebrated her 11th birthday! She is quite the young lady and quite the helper these days.
The girls fed the birds in downtown San Jose.
Daddy is a jungle gym sometimes
Danica turned 3!!!!! We sent cupcakes for her to share with her class in Rayitos, her childcare.
Doctora Danica
We adopted these sweet girls from Mt. Vernon University, they graduated and have gone home now. We will miss our Wednesday night dinners with them.
We also got to spend some very special time with family during our break.
Praises and Prayer requests:
* Praise God for our amazing teachers at ILE. Please pray that this last trimester would be fruitful and that we would continue to learn and breakthrough the difficulties of language learning.
*Please continue to pray for the girls as they finish classes and then have summer camp that will be completely in Spanish. Pray that they would learn more and become more comfortable with the language.
*Praise God for his continued faithfulness. Please pray for us as we prepare to go back to the States and then on to Peru.
*****Special prayer request*****My mom is going on a mission trip of her own. She will be going to India the last week of May and into June. Please pray for her to have a safe trip and that lives would be changed. Praise God for her willingness to go!
