We have been blessed to be a part of various special days here in Costa Rica. A few weeks ago we had culture day. It was a celebration of the many different cultures celebrated in our school and places that people are going when they leave ILE. (ILE is the Spanish Language Institute that we are attending to learn Spanish.) Our grammar class was in charge of preparing something for about 100 people. Each class was assigned a country and asked to prepare some food to share that would be from their assigned country. We were assigned the country of Honduras. We ended up making Honduran Banana Bread, which we converted to muffins to make it easier to eat/serve.

Hannah was excited to be able to dress for the country of Columbia. She also participated by carrying the Mexican flag during the parade of flags.

Katie wore her skirt from Africa and colored the flag to represent Ecuador.
This is Dixi our language teacher representing Nicaragua. They had rice at their booth.
And of course Peru was well represented! They served ceviche which is a very popular fish dish. Chris loved it!
We have been so blessed to experience the many cultures of God's creation.
Please continue to pray for us as we seek what the Lord has for us here at the language school besides language learning. We want to be his servants here in Costa Rica, however we can. There are many missions and opportunities here to serve. Please pray that we would be obedient in where and how he wants us to serve.
